They say as a child we see life in a multitude of perspectives. Growing up from my viewpoint meant the inescapable desire to have the camera lead the way. Whether it was documenting the memories of a family experience, or capturing the smiles of innocent children, this impulse to seize the moment aroused my interest to interpret the world through the passion of photography. This voyage of discovery through the eyes of the lens, cultivated my passion for making simple moments in time last forever. I began to appreciate the candid beauties of nature and the human spirit, and realized the importance of having a vision. Author Robert Collier states,
“Vision gives you the impulse to make the picture your own.”
The camera is the medium that allows me to digitally capture a journal of one’s life experiences that become special moments to cherish for many years to come. This is where I truly believe that I have been granted a gift. Understanding perspective, and having the vision to picture life frame by frame, gives me the opportunity to interpret feelings, emotions and expressions as they are remembered; from a proud parent’s love for their newborn, to the gentle breeze caressing the pedals of a rose - these candid moments in life are persevered in time forever.
